# Environments

> One endpoint. Live and sandbox are selected by your API key.

## One endpoint

All public requests use the same host and path prefix:

There is no separate sandbox hostname for v1. The **API key** selects the environment:

| `sk_live_…` | Live | Real balances and rails |
| `sk_test_…` | Sandbox | Twin workspace books (isolated) |

Business workspaces have a **live** home tenant and a linked **sandbox twin**. After KYB approval you land in **Live**; Dev mode in the dashboard switches onto the twin. `sk_test_…` keys and sandbox webhooks belong to that twin.

In Dev mode, partner rails are never called. Use **Bank Simulator** (General) to credit sandbox balances — emails, notifications, and webhooks still fire.

## Isolation

* **Webhooks and API keys** are scoped to the active workspace (live or sandbox twin).
* Responses include `livemode` / `environment` from the key you used.
* Prefer `sk_test_…` while integrating; use `sk_live_…` only when you intend real money movement.
* **Individuals** have no Dev toggle and no sandbox twin — they are always live.

## Webhooks

Register a webhook URL per environment. Live endpoints receive only live events; sandbox endpoints receive only sandbox events. Each environment has its own signing secret.
